The Sinking Astrid At Dawn
On July 24th 2013 The Astrid tall ship ran aground near Oysterhaven, Co.Cork, thankfully all aboard were rescued. This picture was taken the following morning as the sun began to rise. The life rafts are still attached to the doomed vessel. The Sovereign Islands are visible in the background.
This photograph was featured in The Irish Times newspaper.
This image is printed by Michael on a high quality satin fine art paper as standard using archival inks. This gives a warm, rich, artist quality product which when properly cared for should last for over 100 years. There is an option to buy this image as a mounted canvas also. The watermark/logo will not be included on your purchased print.
All prints are sold unframed and un-mounted, unless you are purchasing the mounted canvas option. Prints are cut to include a white border which allows them to be inserted into a wide variety of mounts and frames.
Each purchase is carefully packaged (usually placed in a ridged and padded envelope or flat box) and sent via An Post registered post.
Contact Michael directly to request a custom size of this image, a mounted option, or even to commission your own bespoke photograph of this or a similar location.
